Windows 95 Was the Beginning of a New Era



In August of 1995, Microsoft launched Windows 95, a system operating that changed forever the way we use computers nowadays.

The launching of this OS was accompanied by a millionaire and extensive marketing campaign, which helped a lot to make Windows 95 successful in popularity and sales. 

A nostalgic interface, with icons that look aesthetically good.

Millions of users witnessed a revolutionary interface of this system, simple and powerful,  it had a new start button, alongside the taskbar and Windows Explorer. This kind of interface became the standard from then on.

Windows 95 also marked an important step into the Internet era. Some manual configurations were still required, but the system had integrated web browsers, email, and dial-up connections, thus marking a new digital era.

Things like multitasking, new architecture, more efficent file system and a better hardware support made personal computers more accesible to the average user.

As a conclusion, Windows was the beginning of a new era; it showed that computers can be useful in so many tasks, friendly and fun for everyone, not exclusive to expert users like programmers or corporations.
